Nine years ago two Chattanooga sisters, Marquita Edwina and Al'leta LaShan Ector, created their fashion blog titled, "Edwina LaShan Fashion Blog", to bring attention to shopping under a budget and still being stylish.

With a lack of fashion and diversity within their community they wanted to show the world that fashion is obtainable no matter where you reside. The two said they wanted to spark conversation about fashion and bring awareness that high fashion does exist in Chattanooga.

​

Over the last nine years the duo has hosted fashion shows, modeled, worked as models and behind the scenes staff for Chattanooga Fashion Week, styled for photo shoots, and hosted their own events.

 

Seven Years ago they created their signature fashion networking event "Unwine In Style". Unwine in Style features designers, stylist, boutiques and models from surrounding areas.

Ms. Edwina served as a judge for "Project Runway Chattanooga" and Hosted M91 Concepts Spring/Summer 2017 Collection Launch.

​

Al'leta LaShan studied Sociology and Criminology at Middle Tennessee State University, she has a Bachelors in Science in Sociology and a Double Minor in Criminology and Paralegal Studies.

 

Marquita Edwina Ector studied Fashion Design and Speech Communications at Tennessee State University, she has a Bachelors of Science in Speech Communications.

Next Year, 2023, Edwina LaShan will be celebrating 10 years of Fashion Blogging and Influencing!
